Bio

Michelle Ryan is a Limerick born lens based media artist, based in Co. Clare. Her practice explores topics such as the relationship between space, narrative and internet culture. With a particular focus on factual vs fictional.

In 2016 she facilitated an edition of And then... a spoken word film festival by Liam Gillick for EVA International. Most recently, she has been longlisted for the RDS Visual Arts Awards 2017 and highly commended in the Inspirational arts award 2017. Recent exhibitions include Plinth III curated by Simon Fennessy Corcoran at The Sailor's Home Limerick and the first edition of the Soul Noir Festival in Dublin.

Michelle was previously a member of the Culture Team at Ormston House Cultural Resource Centre in Limerick City.
